Spring Evaluations! October 20th to 24th

At West Jays, our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for athletes to learn, grow, and excel. We strive to instill the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance in all our athletes, and to help them develop the skills they need to succeed both on and off the field.

• 9U Matt Arburr-  Southington resident who was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 17th round of the 2007 MLB June Amateur Draft. Matt was a position player who play college baseball at Pace University before he went on to the MLB. Now working and developing our younger programs.
• 11U Jason Pekrul - A Berlin CT Hall of Famer from Berlin High- State Champion 1999-All Conference, All State Team,- 3x College World Series appearances at Eastern CT State University-2002 National DIII Champions! Specializes in Hitting, middle infield and an outfield specialist.
• 14U Matthew Preston- Pitcher from New Hampshire where he was All-State and All-Region in High School- Continued on as a Pitcher at Division I University of Rhode Island. 2x Atlantic 10 Regular season champion.  10 year coaching experience on several levels. 
• 13U Eric Butkiewicz- Two time Plainville Hall of Fame inductee. All Conference, 2001 senior season 121Ks/ 17BB. University of Maryland Baltimore collegiate pitcher still holding records for strikeouts, innings and Starts.  Over 10 year coaching experience.  Coached at Bristol Central High School, Plainville Legion Post and several travel teams.  
• 10U Joe Duro- Collegiate third baseman and pitcher. Specializing in younger age development. Played college ball at Eckerd College and Salve Regina. 4th year coaching with us!
• 10U Chad Heath- former New Britain High School Coach. Collegiate player and hitting coach. Exceptional player development skills at younger levels 
• 11u Rob Giguere- 30+ years of baseball experience- Collegiate pitching specialist - CT Blue Jays head coach and coordinator for upper level players.
•  12U Jerome Harty- Another collegiate player from New Hampshire. Pitching specialist with 10 yeas coaching experience. University of Southern New Hampshire University 4 year College Pitcher 
• 15U Kyle Dobratz-Pitching specialist and Connecticut Native. Started as a Varsity pitcher for Maloney High. Went onto pith at Division I UCONN  under coach Andy Baylock. 9 years coaching experience.
• 15u Alex Meyer- Alex is a pitcher from University of Northern Iowa and has many years of coaching experience in travel baseball.
• 13U Mike Moneymaker- Catching specialist from Southington. Played for American International College. Southington HS catcher 1993-1997
• 15U Matt Lefkowitz- Southington's Middle school coach at Kennedy. Matt has 25 years of baseball coaching experience.
